Welcome ... to my 'Celebrate Writing' website, dedicated to all things writing related.  If you're a writer, or if you teach writing to others, this website is for you.

My name's Sue Cowley, and I'm a writer, presenter, journalist and teacher trainer, working mainly in the field of education.  I'm the author of 17 books, for teachers and parents (see the Books page for more information and a quick writing activity).  My latest book, is Getting the Buggers to Write, now in its third edition and officially published on 13th October.  To celebrate its publication, I'm holding a writing competition with free copies of my new book for five lucky winners - prizes sponsored by Continuum, my publishers.  Visit the Competition page for more details or to make an entry.  Over time, I'll be adding lots of resources for writing to this site, for use both by teachers and by writers.  I hope you enjoy your visit.
